Was not scary. Was not creepy. Terrible dialogue. By the time the ridiculous ending happened, I didn't care about any of these characters. I think the location of this little house in the woods was a good choice for a horror movie, but not this one.
Only watched this because my brother is a big fan of Found Footage horror. I'm a fan too but with higher standards. This movie makes you want that hour and twenty of minutes of your life back. I can't believe Eric Roberts was in this granted it was a very small part. I guess this is what his career has been reduced to. Anyway, I won't get into the details because it isn't worth it. All you need to do is read the OP headline.
I think the presence of more well-known actors ruins the immersion of a found-footage style movie. It had me absorbed... then Eric Roberts shows up and ruins the suspension of disbelief. Took me right out of the narrative. After that, it got better and I was able to get back into it, but would have been better without that 'cameo.'
