Super acting performances by Robin Williams and Mila Kunis. Great story, great great acting! I liked especially the scene in the store with video cameras with the babbling salesman (James Earl Jones in one extreme comic role) and the scene when Mila Kunis beats bad the taxi driver. And I also liked the original and unique fact that Robin Williams narrates the part of Mila Kunis (voice over) and Mila Kunis does the same for the part of Robin Williams.
This has to be one of the worst movies ever made. You see Robin Williams' name so you think oh it must be decent, but no, it is not. I'm speechless because of how terrible this movie is.
No, no, no. No! Just no. They are saying my review is too short so I will add the following nos.
Mila Kunis ruined this move. They should have gotten a higher caliber female actor to do this job. Milah is good for TV, not serious film, she is not even cute. Seriously her content is shallow. I can grab a handful right now from Manhattan that can do a better job. At least not for now. To all the haters: This movie was great and you just can't appreciate it's value. IT IS PERFECT love in the form of angry bitterness. It helps those that need it, PERIOD. Milah Kunis is awful. Again, Mila sucks. Hard. Not sorry, not faux. You don't see me saying that about Williams, Dinklage or Earl Jones, and you wanna know WHY? BECAUSE THEY DON'T. Milah you seriously there's no way to fix you, just steer clear from certain types of film, you need it. Stick to comedy/slapstick romance, you'll be great. Or action, they'll love you as a comic aggressive relief.
Unfortunately this is a dull movie in a great actor's career. Robin's untimely passing ironically creates more interest in certain scenes in this movie than what would've been prior. Much-like Heath Ledger acting inside a body bag in The Dark Knight, Robin Williams can be seen here wanting to commit suicide via the Brooklyn Bridge. It is an emotional scene because we know what happened to this great man in real-life. It is little things like this, peppered throughout the movie that make what would've been a complete bomb, a little bit more engaging and interesting. It's a short movie with a basic plot. I failed to develop any strong empathy for the characters though, with the laughs a little light-on for a dark-comedy of this type. When a dark humour comedy fails to make you laugh it just becomes depressing. I was glad this movie was over, unlike I was for Robin Williams' amazing career.
A beautiful film. Made far mor poignant by real life behind the scenes.
There are some traditional conflicts in this movie, son and dad, brothers, and doctors and patients. But this move is sooo dramatic.... Nice story but I didn't quite get the purpose of being angry.
