This independent, stop motion film gave me such a nostalgic trip into my own childhood. I was a little turned off by the retro fuzzy materials at first, but quickly grew to appreciate the delightful craft that went into this film. The landscapes and life of the story was quite enjoyable and endearing. I laughed and cried out with plenty of awwws! Now I'm inspired to rally the kids to make our own little characters out of recycled materials. How refreshing!
This was a great family experience, to see the children, my husband and I all laughing and crying together was great. It is very different to the big studio films, but just as good, if not better!
Watched this with my brothers and parents, LOL!!!!!!! Its a fantastic film for all the family, even my dad was laughing! Strong characters with male and female and they felt really authentic! Loved It!!!
Strong story, with some fantastic music. Lovely, heart warming characters that really made us laugh. Loved the Boss, the main villain. This is a great family movie with some strong family values thats works for all ages!!!
Loved this, watched it with my parents and my children, haven't laughed this much in ages. Strong characters with strong values you would be happy for your children to watch. Kids want to watch it again, which is unusual. Good film!
For those of us who are tired of the major studio's cookie-cutter content that plays on predictable story-lines and stereotypical characters, Strike proved to be a great alternative family-friendly movie with quirky, eccentric characters that one finds oneself rooting for as the story unfolds. The stop-motion animation and unique characters make for an old-school, home-made feel to it which I found particularly enjoyable in this world of overly-produced CGI-for-the-masses movies.
Fantastic film, loved it. Very original, great score, good story, lovable characters, even the villain!!!! Having seen many films this last weeks this ranks in my top ten! Highly recommended!
This is a British made film, in the traditions of raw stop frame animation. It looks beautifully hand crafted, from what one can see. The environment and characters are fantastic with the attention to detail that one does not see often. The story is charing and very funny, it held our attention through out the 100mins. A proper feature film as good as anything that Disney has done, from a story point of due. The characters are well developed and all though diversity is a overused word, this film really has some interesting and eccentric characters that are believable and wonderful in their own rights. Definitely one to watch!
