Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

I went to see this film with my friend and our younger brothers, and they loved it. They are ten and laughed continuously through the film. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone over twelve, as it isn't exactly a teenage drama, and it is more suited for a younger audience. However, children will love it! There is a jumpy scene in the movie, which personally scared me, but it isn't unsuitable for a younger audience, just a bit jumpy. Some of the events that took place throughout the movie were slightly unrealistic, but younger children don't seem to mind and just find the scene when he loses his swimming trunks funny. Overall, I found the movie entertaining throughout!

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid never fails to amuse me. It is not often that you find a kid-oriented movie starring a kid very entertaining. The humor is very clean yet its quite hilarious. and to top it all off, the movie is filled with lessons about school, growing up, friends, the family and so much more. Im very sure the Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise will continue to launch the movies on short intervals considering that the actors are growing old fast and the age appropriation of the characters will not match that of the book. The characters especially Greg are still relatable and believable. Their acting skills have remarkably improved since the 1st movie. Never thought it gets better every time. Looking forward to more sequels! Must watch for every family. No dull moment and beautifully done. 9/10
