...and it leaves me hope that one day too I can make a film.I'm guessing this "genre" is along the lines of Shark Weeks episode about a giant great white that was prehistoric, but compared to open water it got more watches.

I dunno what most these people are complaining about,.THIS MOVIE ROCKS,.. One reviewer said that all the people in this movie were BAD people, Well.WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD~! ,.It was more realistic that these people were cry baby, silver-spoon, dimwits that love adventure seeking,.It was like watching Richard Bransons kids,.The sharks in this movie were DOPE to say the least,.There was some REAL terror in this flick to be sure,. I didn't expect the acting to be top notch,.but it was at least average and somewhat realistic,.There were some filler scenes in the movie,.you can basically kind of burn through the first 30 mins of the movie to be sure,.but it made it more realistic,.It is found footage so the camera is going to make you a bit nauseous,.but I've seen MUCH WORSE In short,.this had ALOTT more action than any Blair Witch movie,.was better and scarier too,.The sharks were top notch,.and I think it is the best movie in the OPEN WATER series,.I RECOMMEND highly if you like to see people eaten by sharks!

Watched this film today really enjoyed the plot. Also enjoyed the reality of the sharks' behaviour. Compliments to the director and cast

I had seen a lot of shark movies. The Reef (2010) and Open Water (2003) are quite authentic but there are also other great movies. By looking at its cover I could tell it's one of those lame and cheap wannabe suspense movies. Furthermore, it turned out to be a very good concept: there's a complex relationship between the main characters and the footage is impressive. You have a feeling you're one of them. Worries, struggles, anxiety, fear... it's both horrible and admirable. I really liked this movie. Somehow different approach, but in a positive way. Don't expect much. But at least give it a try.

Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the water, a found-footage shark movie swims my way. Cage Dive takes the well-worn hand-held camera/faux documentary route to tell the story of three Californian adrenaline junkies - Jeff, Josh and Megan (Joel Hogan, Josh Potthoff and Megan Peta Hill)- who travel to Australia to experience great white sharks up close and personal. Unfortunately, their thrill-seeking experience doesn't go quite as planned when a freak wave capsizes the boat, leaving the friends stranded in shark-infested waters. I was actually enjoying this found-footage shark movie up to the point where an argument over the use of a flare results in the characters accidentally setting fire to their inflatable life raft; at this point, the film well and truly 'jumps the shark', after which it slowly sinks further and further into the murky depths of bad film-making. And when brothers Jeff and Josh forget about the sharks to have a scrap over Megan, with whom they are both in love, the film finally hits rock bottom. To director Gerald Rascionato's credit, the shark attack scenes are deftly handled and realistic (I guess that the sharks are CGI; if that is the case, they're extremely well done), resulting in a reasonable amount of tension, and there's one satisfyingly nasty moment where we see a survivor with the side of his face hanging off, but for much of the time it's just three whiny over-privileged idiots bobbing around in the sea. You'll be longing for the fish to start biting again. 4.5 out of 10, rounded up to 5 for IMDb.

I find it difficult to understand why directors and writers make and write films like this. It is well known that most film goers do not enjoy found footage films that pretty well consist of the actors screaming and shouting at each other whilst doing incredibly stupid things. The viewer feels no empathy, just irritation with characters. The viewer does not feel suspense or fear because fear and suspense are swamped by irritation and annoyance. The viewer wants the characters to die. And so it is with this Asylum-esque teen-scream (almost) offering. The incredibly stupid thing here was so unbelievable in it's stupidity that it would have been a kindness and relief for the film to have ended there. I wanted Megan to die. In the main the viewer wants an intelligent script, good acting, plausible behaviours, intelligent decisions and mature likable characters. Why directors not understand this? Why is it that they do not take lessons from Jaws or The Reef? Why do they take lessons from Asylum films? It is a mystery. Oh..the sharks were good though, particularly in the suddenness of one death where one shark was a stalking horse!

The characters in this are so unlikable, they are all idiots who I actually wanted to die. You need to be able to root for your characters but whoever wrote this shitbox doesn't know that and I have no idea how it got made with the crap script it had. Everything was generic, guy loves girl, girl loves brother, oh no! It was 30mins of them being tools then 50 minutes of them in the water screaming at one another, there was no suspense no tension, as I said, I wanted them to die. Bad writing. How do these people have jobs?

Open Water 3 starts off somewhat promisingly but ultimately fizzles out. It starts of when two brothers and a girlfriend of one of the brothers decide to go to Australia to film themselves Shark Cage Diving in order to enter the footage into a reality TV-show which could potentially earn them $100 000. During their dive however, a freak wave overturns the boat, and they together with the crew members and other tourists are left floating in shark infested waters. Soon almost everyone is separated and trying to survive while awaiting rescue. The shaky camera found footage filming gets annoying pretty quickly. As does the relationship between the two brothers and the girl. One of the brothers is planning to propose to his girlfriend not knowing that his brother is also in love with her. The same girl gets more and more hysterical as the movie goes on and eventually ends up torching a life raft they were fortunate enough to find floating after almost a day in the water. At no point in time in the raft do they show any signs of exhaustion. This and the fact that these three at no time give any indication that they have dived before or have any clue about what to do also makes the movie less believable. By this point in the movie however the viewers probably couldn't care less because the ending is predictable and is in fact given away in the first few minutes of the film anyway when its stated that what is on the screen is footage from a camera found on the ocean floor. The acting could have been worse but is nothing special. Overall not really worth the time of watching.

If Trump can become president why not a F movie become B. Honestly people, it is an ocean of water movie. Nothing to it, Water proof cameras whoopee do.... They should of stopped at the first one but since their budget is $100 bucks why not make a series of awful sequel? Seriously would you watch this on TV? nope! Then why in Gods name would you watch this and pay for it? SMH (Means Shaking My Head)
