I will say that this movie is a bit more spooky at night in the dark. I reccomend watching it then an only then. I was bit confused here and there, but details lacking wasn't enough that I couldn't understand. I think that the production was very visually appealing! It is very good for a little indie film!

A teen and his mother (Collin Shephard and Fiona McQuinn) move to rural Georgia where he makes a couple of new friends (Bryen Lenis and Alissa Shaye Hale). The girl insists on hiking to an infamous local cave and all hell eventually breaks loose. "Hallowed Be Thy Name" (2020) is a micro-budget Indie that starts out well for most of the first hour, but loses its mojo in the last act. Despite its modest origins, I was impressed by the opening sequence (the one after the prologue & credits); the writing/acting of mother & son is well done, even moving. When the son goes to school the next day the viewer is introduced to the other two protagonists, Mick and Skylar (Lenis and Hale) and their acting is questionable, to say the least, but they quickly rise to the challenge for a spare-change Indie and I found myself engrossed in the story. Alissa is a highlight of the film, a pleasure to behold, although her character has a little too much sass (but what else is new for teenagers?). Fiona, the mother, is over two decades older, but still attractive and pleasantly angelic. Everything is here for a quality small-budget spooky flick, but a little more time needed spent on working out glaring kinks. For instance, Mick's sister dies and a few hours later it's completely forgotten. As for the last act, it's weak and needed something more. The 'monster' is at best serviceable. Meanwhile the clichéd "gay" character doesn't help. The film runs 1 hour, 39 minutes, and was shot in Georgia (e.g. Jasper and Cave Springs). GRADE: C/C-

Admittedly, I did not watch the entire movie. I made it about 30 minutes in and had to stop. The acting is SO distractingly bad, it was the only thing I could focus on. The Skylar actor was the worst of them all...pretty lady, but she needs to get a refund from whatever acting school that she attended. Would not recommend this movie :-/

...But honestly lol. The movie is in offensively mediocre, with pretty awful acting, and a "meh" plot, that kind of tries... Its only True highlight is that the gal playing Skyler is a totally hottie! It's also nice to see modern teens being played as believably clueless and dopey, rather than the unrealistic "worldly and introspective, 4 years of college" teens that shows like "Stranger Things" falsely perpetrate, like the are the norm rather than a rare exception!

Don't get me wrong I really liked the movie. I just am not sure if I missed something or if it just ends almost as if to say " and then...."

A fun, campy, indie horror film that will take your mind off of 2020!

I gotta say, I've watched a few horror flicks in my day. This is the first horror film I've watched where I felt the main focus of the film was to document the main character's struggle through the trials and tribulations of young adulthood. For most men, I think we've been in Devin's shoes at least one time in our lives, and it was truly heartwarming to see director Ri'Chard hit the adolescent nail on the head, with a spooky twist. Hats off to 3rd fathom for producing this one, it'll stay in my halloween movie rotation for years to come.

The acting wasn't great, but the lead female was horrible. Maybe she was directed to be a ridiculous drama girl; in that case, she got the ridulous overacting part right. I thought this must be a first film for the high schoolers.

This is a spectacularly bad movie that is bad enough it's fun to watch. There is nothing that doesn't fall flat on it's face here, from the dialogue, to acting, to the many many plot holes and dead ends. Watch with friends for cheap and easy laughs.
