I love this series so much. I watched it every night during my pregnancy when I had terrible insomnia and it was weirdly calming. I don't know if it was the narrator or the fact that the people always seemed so self assured, even in the face of awful situations people really exuded optimism. Another thing I like is that the series doesn't have a disaster p*rn aspect to it, they treat the hurricane damage with a somber attitude but not glorifying it. They focus on the storm itself and the actions and thoughts of the people experiencing it. It's so interesting to see how different people experience the same weather events. I really wish that they made another season. I'm sure it's a ton of work to edit together footage from all the different boats, but maybe one day...
