This is a sort of comedy drama. It is not a hard hitting realistic drama. People saying that this series is not realistic, wrong accents and so on seem a bit harsh to me. I watched the first episode and have kept watching it,it is fun and I like the Lincolnshire locations. Of course the accents are all over the place, crazy to expect all the actors to have great accents. The critic Alison Graham in the Radio Times is very harsh on this programme but she never likes anything.
A bit of a strange concept, but a good watch, cast is good and there are moments when, forget the glamour, you realise what a good actor Robb Lowe is.
Fish out of water American policeman in England. Surprisingly authentic- and an excellent cast. I look forward to the next episodes to see if it will become a favourite.
When I saw this advertised I thought , this could be good , not often the UK gets a well known Hollywood actor in a UK set show , now I know why it's absolute garbage . The story's are so transparent and completely misrepresent the Boston area , the writers want beheading as do all the cast and crew .the mistakes are glaring , a senior officer is basically an ambassador , does dinners and kisses bums , does not go into field situations , plus his uniform is wrong , as is the way the other officers talk and interact with a senior , they would be hung drawn and quatered for doing what is shown in tv . oh and Yorkshire accents ? Just really rubbish , hope it gets axed
