Thoughtful, warm, and well-acted. A pleasant diversion on a Sunday evening watching Amazon Prime for a relatively short movie. A familiar love story yet well told from a fresh perspective.
All I can see is Harry Potter and Dante from clerks! It's kind of filmed with a Kevin Smith mentality, with a pastoral aesthetic and a bit of underlying tension. It's watchable for sure!

I loved this movie. Perfect setting, great chemistry, and well paced. Weekenders is a great movie to watch when you looking for one of those rare Gems any night of the week. Trust me they are hardcto find. It's one of those movies you will watch and watch again with a friend.
Weekenders has you hooking from the opening 5 minutes and forward into the rest of the hour and 20 minutes long feature! It's well written and thrilling. The human themes and elements are relatable in regards to relationships and conflict. Overall highly recommend to watch .
Just a cute love story set in times we live in. Predictable but some twists that keep you interested. No gratuitous sex and just a little profanity. Definitely PG-13.
I really enjoyed this film. Not only was it set in such a picturesque location, but I think it definitely was a film about connection, and how important connection is in relationships. I gotta say I loved James, he was chill and laid back, and his contrast to the typical alpha male was so satisfying. I would definitely recommend!
I thoroughly enjoyed the "Weekenders". Full disclosure: I usually get bored watching romantic movies (which I typically get dragged to). I assure you this was not the case for this movie. This was mainly due to the fact that the "Weekenders" possesses a very clever script/storyline, it is really well-cast, the music is excellent, the cinematography is beautiful, but most importantly (for me) the pacing of the movie is superb. At no point, did I find myself checking the time nor yawning during this movie. On the contrary, I was captivated during the entire movie and found myself smiling at its tender and witty moments. The chemistry between the four main characters was so organic. There was nothing forced about it. James and Harper were such likable characters that I was routing for them throughout the movie. I highly recommend you check out this movie.
Loved this movie! Relatable, beautiful setting, chemistry between actors was off the charts! I had no idea Erik was the director so when I researched him as the actor I wasn't too surprised! His delivery and presence made the movie.
