The whiny teenagers and crazy mother of the reality show that intertwined with the actual thefts made this very difficult to watch. I had to shut it off half way through episode two. I'm sure the timeline and how the burglaries played out are interesting but I just couldn't handle how the reality show of the three girls and the mom were pulled in. The over inflated egos and self entitlement and thinking they are larger than life gave me a headache. To top it off there was so much he said, she said. It's really not worth the watch and I'm not sure why they even pulled this story out of the vault again. Reboot that failed, I guess.

I get it make for "great" tv and draws in attention, but constantly giving Alexis Neiers and Nick Prugo a platform to brag about being one of the cool kids is not a good look. This series is nothing but a "look what we did" piece that glamorizes burglary mainly do to the people who were robbed. If they were robbing Z-Listers like Carrot Top and Danny Bonaduce literally no one would think twice. Aside from the glamorizing this series does, it also likes to brag BIG TIME!!! There's a so-called real estate agent (I'm assuming) who starts the series off giving you a run down on LA neighborhoods and who lives in them. There's another woman explaining which big stars shopped where Nick and Alexis spent their stolen money. Basically, they were all living and hanging out in the same places as celebrities, just not at the same time. Which i guess is supposed to make simple-minded go, "OMG, you bought that dress at the same place Nicole Richie bought hers. Did you see her there?" Nick and Alexis do plenty of bragging themselves. Alexis informs us she used to hang out on TV sets and in dressing rooms as a kid. Nick let's us know he was an Nickelodeon, as an extra on Zoey 101. Talking about the grueling drive he used to make to set, as if he was actually starring in the show. Even Alexis's mom gets in on the bragging by letting us know she started modeling at age 16, before name dropping everyone she modeled for. Big surprise she said Playboy. There's even little info cards that pop-up everytime Nick and Alexis talk about a crime, which says the crime and the maximum jail sentence it carries. The only purpose to give cool points. Literally 17 minutes into the first episode, I had to turn this crap off.

Why was this even made? These teens are pathetic. Robbery, larceny, grand theft auto. Etc.... Ugh. I can not believe they are not in prison for LIFE. They bring NOTHING to the planet. They have zero empathy, zero sympathy, and zero morals. Drugs. Theft. Complete waste of space. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this "documentary". And to think there's even an actual movie made about this! Wow. This was noted as impressive?!?! Who in their right mind would even consider this entertainment? Teens are going to use this as their guide book, their bible so to speak. Is this what we've become? Sad.

One of the best documentaries i have seen. It shows how vulnerable the criminals were. They had such a hard life growing up living in the suburbs around LA but weren't like filthy rich. It's unfortunate that they had to commit these crimes but could you imagine how hard it would be growing up with only a 2 car garage in the valley? It's almost un imaginable to think people live this way. So when they see these party people getting rich doing seemingly nothing but coming from wealthy backgrounds they got jealous and wanted to taste that lifestyle and forget the absolute squalor of a life they had in their mere 2500 sq ft valley homes.

This is a series not a film and its the best true crime documentary series about the Bling Ring. Goes into lots of detail about the crimes but also looks at the fame and celebrity culture, also really well made and thoght through - really liked it and would highly recommend.

Why give these pathetic theives more spot light when all they really wanted was fame to begin with, but had no talent or any way to acheive it without breaking into peoples homes! What a sad world it is we live in where they do a documenry and let these theives tell their stupid, boring, pointless story. And what a shock the boy and i mean boy droped a dime on his so called best friends at the drop of a hat to try and save himself. Tells you everything you need to know about the character of the people involved who got way to much coverage and are still nobody! And the fact that this was made on top of a movie about these clowns shows a real flaw in society today.

I don't understand what Netflix is doing these days airing junk like this because the main male character is laughing and smiling and basically proud of himself and what he did I think he should be tried again and serve more time. I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to watch the second episode of this because it seems to glamorize being a criminal and they have all of these ill logical reasonings to what they did and breaking into anyone's home and stealing is a crime it doesn't matter how rich they are, is still a crime is still wrong there's still a victim it's a scary thing to realize that you've been robbed and they kinda just don't give a care.

There is nothing redeemable from this except parenting lessons. The two main characters represent a larger part of society that is lazy, entitled and have absolutely no self awareness in the culture they cultivate with their psychological need for attention. While a laughable attempt was made to present this as "bad behavior" and instead celebrates the worst aspects of our society that create and stand for absolutely nothing. Finally, the people in this documentary lack of self awareness is breathtaking. No shame, no embarrassment. A chronic cancer of the personality that is now being celebrated.

I watched the first episode but I can't face anymore. The show is made in an interesting way but the it's like watching smug faced teenagers justifying theft in the way that a looter thinks it's ok to do what they do. I.e. " I can't afford what other people have, but I feel that I deserve it, so I'm just going to take it." This might be for some people but I refuse to add to the viewing figures.

Really? Now the media is promoting criminals and low life skunks to make money? Yea. Hollywood or whatever film industry is really getting greedy. Good job on giving fame on losers and criminals. Not only is this degrading, but this is influencing younger generation that doing such criminal activity is FINE to get more fame. Youtube and Instagram is doing great job at making younger generation to become more stupid, and now this. Absolute trash. I just cant see these criminals trying to act like what they did is OKAY and got what they wanted in the end. Films like this should be illegal, or at least make it into horror story where you should NEVER do.
