Former M-1 Challenge champion Magomed Sultanakhmedov (Gorets), 18-5, returned to the sport, moving up to the welterweight division to face the rising Sergey Romanov (Sich PRO), 10-1. Five years earlier, after knocking out American fighter Tyson Jeffries and defending the organization's middleweight title, Magomed Sultanakhmedov, due to a series of injuries, was forced to what seemed to be his retirement as a fighter.
