Without a doubt a wonderful blissful screenplay motivated by Love. There are just too few movies like this. You can feel how time slows and expands into the spiritual realm which is so hard to let go off. It was casted perfectly with a twisted brilliant comedy plot of characters. Superb craftsman ship and acting. Maybe not for everyone. Like I said, there are just not enough beautiful movies like that. I watched this three times in a row when I first discovered it.
I kept hoping that the movie would eventually make sense. The ending didn't do what it should have done. Jojo was supposed to save Jesus, I guess the writers and actors forgot all about that part of the story line. I'm left with a feeling of being cheated because there wasn't an ending to the movie.
If it were not for one saving Grace this film would be campy, low budget, low quality, dreary with predictable storyline and theatrical ploys to charm the audience. It's the Angels that change all that. The sense that the people in the film are experiencing absolute, indescribable, Spiritual Love and Divine Majesty makes this low budget train wreck beautiful in every way. It's the Angels.
This was a very good film, I was raptured the entire time. Rebekah is just memorizing in this role especially since she is out of her horror element (and frankly doesn't utter a single word in this film), I highly recommend this little gem!
Loved the movie! I really loved the concept behind it, and the storyline was very unique! Loved the cast and cinematography. One of the best I've see this year. Highly recommend!
Los Angeles, like its leading lady, Rebekah Kennedy, is as incandescent and inspiring as is its main character Jojo. You won't regret watching this piece. A statement on the nature of faith and how to know the unknowable, through the eyes of a young woman following her better angels on a spirit-guided journey from Los Angeles to the beyond and back again, all from the passenger's seat of a classic car opposite aptly-named co-star Anthony Bonaventura. Casting, cinematography, score and direction: all sublime.
Well paced, interesting subject, touching. JoJo was a standout. The story line was unique, have not seen something like this. A feelgood movie without the sap.
I absolutely LOVED this film and Rebekah's performance as Jojo was beyond exceptional in every way! Jojo's belief and unconditional love was so heartwarming and such a positive light that is desperately needed in todays world, with so many incredibly wonderful emotions packed into one film that I will watch it again and again with tears of joy, laughing out loud as well as tears from the love in the journey she was taking. Rebekah definitely deserves an award for this role!
