While I know the film may not be for everyone, the wife and I enjoyed it. We wish Justin good luck with future projects.
If you like the forest this film is for you. I happened to like the solitude of being alone in the forest and this film brings it to the screen. The struggle between man and beast forever lives on in this tale of folklore. Very good sound quality and overall production quality for being a low budget film. At times it seems like a documentary in search of bigfoot, due to its gritty performance by the lead actor Justin Snyder. I gave this film a thumbs for anyone looking to be lost in the woods.
There's no precise objective for this movie, and it ended without any result, and there's no message from it,it was a waste of time.
Those giving this above 5 are clearly friends and family of the cast/crew. Some of the worst acting I've seen in a no budget film. Avoid.
The headline sums up my thoughts on this "yet another low budget Bigfoot film". There is a story in here, but lifting it from the script to the screen is often done clumsily, which is the case here. The hero's wife suffers from depression so he takes her camping to try to help matters, she tells him the marriage isn't working and she wants to be alone, by the time he's walked six feet away and turned back the Big Lad has snatched her and made off, in broad daylight through fairly sparse woods,, well she did ask. That pretty much sets the tone for the whole film, the husband starts drinking seeking answers and revenge, so you never see him without a hipflask and his house is carpeted with beer cans, there's a townhall meeting about Bigfoot for a T.V show(ahem!), the Sierra Sounds are thrown in now and then, there's wood knocks, tree structures, rock throwing,, you know the score. There's nothing really new here but that's ok, I've got socks as old as this story but they still work, and so does this film. If you don't mind holes in your socks you'll enjoy this for what it is, an easy watch with a mystical companion.
This movie is an idiot test. if you sit and watch the entire movie, THEN YOU ARE AN IDIOT. it is as simple as that. the 'girlfriend' at the beginning cannot act at all. simply, not at all. if there is such a thing a reincarnation and she has another 10 lives....she still won't be able to act at all. just not at all. after this insulting level of acting, scrolled through it....i don't even know if there was a bigfoot or not and i don't care. the loud abnoxious music at the end seems to have been put there intentionally to laugh at you and insult you for watching the whole thing.
Having seen several low/no budget Bigfoot movies (even working on one myself), I can say that this is better than most! It isn't perfect, but the story is solid with the psychological/guilt angle elevating it to a new level. The 2 leads to a nice job in their roles and the production value is solid as well. Definitely recommend!
A good B movie which has a person hunting for Bigfoot on a quest to discover what happened to his girlfriend. Shooting it almost documentary style gives it a realistic feel to the situation, and the twists within will keep you guessing and entertained throughout.
I really don't like horror movies about Bigfoot, but I really enjoyed this one. So what if it's not from Universal Studios? There was a good story, interesting plot, some action, a fair amount of drama, and LOTS of suspense. The girl who played Sarah was a terrible actress, but all the rest played their parts well. I'd suggest this movie to others.
