Zookeeper

I like some kids movies like this, but I didn't find this one to be very funny. First, you would think the target audience is 8 year old kids, but the animals tell some adult humor not appropriate for young kids. I like Kevin James in some films, but I didn't think he pulled the role off. I mean when you have a guy take a talking gorilla to dinner, it's hard to make that work. Plus, the girl he liked, Stephanie, was so mean to him on the beach. There is no way a guy would want to take someone like that back. FINAL VERDICT: There's a lot better movies with talking animals out there, watch one of them.

We went out to the theater with my young nieces looking for a babysitter of a movie and a real time killer. This one gets the job done and it actually was not all that bad. I spent half of the time trying to match animals with actor voices. The other half listening to two gals camped out behind me incessantly giggling at everything Kevin James said or did. I guess they liked the movie too. My nieces did and believe me, they let you know when a movie is bad by their behavior. They did not squirm or complain once. Overall, the movie delivers the usual feel-good story with a twist. There are some funny moments and some not-so-funny moments, but nothing that morphs into a nightmarish experience. For that reason, I give Zookeeper a hearty 6 out of 10 stars. After all, four women laughing and not whining is pretty good day in my book.

Zookeeper If you are bored and you like animals, and Dr. Dolittle, then you will probably like Zookeeper starring Kevin James. The Pluses: Scenery of New York, the wedding scene, Kevin James' Comedic acting, and the beauty of Rosario Dawson. The Minuses: Predictable ending, love triangle that we've have seen so many times! Some of the jokes are corny (depending on your sense of humor) On the Whole, Zookeeper is a cool, simple romantic comedy that are for those who love animals and love stories. I for one, am not panning this movie, but I did not expect a love story, not that I hate them. Give this one a try, if you have nothing to do.

This is the dumbest movie i have seen so far in 2011. I wasted my time and money. If anyone of you really want to kill some time do anything else in the world but to watch this movie. I wasn't expecting such a crap from Kevin James. My advice to Lesli Bib, Please quit Hollywood. you are better off in modeling. I am not going to any Kevin James movie anymore. i can give you details of why this movie was so bad but i really don't wanna waste any more time on this disaster movie. Simply GARBAGE..... My Advice AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS.

Whoever wrote the parts of the script that include the animals' dialogue is a winner. The animals are fun and funny, with good personalities you can actually enjoy. The same cannot be said about the film's human actors. If I never see another Kevin James movie, it'll be too soon. Once again a fat man is wooing sexy woman #1 while sexy woman #2 arrives. Contrived, unbelievable, with acting and stunts completely ludicrous. (Did anyone else think the silk lines at the wedding were going to break while he was spinning around??). Bring back the animals, leave the Zookeeper. Mind you, then you might have a Disney movie called Madagascar... OK, thinking about it that way then, just do 20 minutes of the animals in a TV special or movie trailer and leave the humans out of it completely. As this movie runs 102 minutes, that's approximately 80 minutes too long.

After seeing the film at an advanced screening, I have to admit that this is one of the films to be put into the Kevin James hall of fame along with Hitch and Paul Blart. The film was a decent amount of laughter and the trailer does say a lot about the film. In "Zookeeper", Kevin James gives one of the greatest performances of his career as Griffin Keyes who is, you probably guessed, a zookeeper. Griffin asks Stephanie (Leslie Bibb) to marry him, but she rejects his proposal because she's embarrassed that he's a zookeeper. Five years pass and Griffin is still a zookeeper when he runs into Stephanie again and begins his quest to win her back. The animals of Franklin Park Zoo band together and reveal to Griffin that they can talk in an effort to keep him from leaving. To get him to stay, they decide to teach him how to win the girl.The film was a huge success to me and I do recommend it as a family comedy. I give it a 7/10.
