Jason is a talkative opinionated young boy living with his uncle. His parents are presumed dead, but he insists that they are only missing. One night, he encounters an alien and escapes into its spaceship. He finds teen girl Lara already hiding inside. Somehow, they activate the ship which turns out to be a time-travel machine. The boy is too precocious to the point of being annoying. They are definitely going for Spy Kids. The CGI is not the most advanced although it's passable. It's budget special effects. The set design for the spaceship is too plastic. This movie seems to be made by Aristomenis Tsirbas, some guy from Montreal doing all the big jobs. It kinda feels like it. The guy has some technical skills, some limited story telling skills, and a fraction of a blockbuster budget. Depending on how much this actually costs, this could be a good little flick.
