I don't know why the ratings on IMDM are so low. I though it was a great movie. Typical self depreciating humour. We don't take ourselves too seriously and we like to take the piss out of ourselves and everyone else and this was evident in this movie with some great cameo's. I really enjoyed it. Anyone GenX or older I think will have a few good laughs. I know I did . Loved it! On ya Hoges
What a wonderful light hearted comedy. I nice swan song for Hogan. Not taking life to seriously this is a great family movie.
Honestly don't understand what's up with all the great reviews. Are they paid? The film starts of bad and only gets worse. Who made this garbage? This is the worst movie of all time ! Acting terrible. Story terrible. Amusement factor Zero. It has one solitary redeeming feature, it ends. Sadly it takes around 90 minutes to do that. This was just awful. The writer deserves a d...ck.of the year award for writing this POS.
Terrible movie. Not one laugh at all. Nothing else needs to be said about this sad, pathetic waste of 90 mins
Of all the Paul Hogan Movies, and his character from his 1970's TV show, he was always playing the same character. This is a very different Hogan movie where he is effectively playing himself. If anyone watches this movie with an expectation of "Hoges", this is not it. It is a light hearted comedy with a good plot. The cameos add to the interest. I won't add a spoiler, except to hint that this is a movie with a moral... Family is what counts more than anything else.
This is great film if you read what message it says. On one side the world worships you and then wants to destroy you if you don't fit in. This is a film I would highly recommend to those who want to see good fun and some honesty about how the older generations get tried and tribulated by the media they once served money to.
This is not academy award material, but it was a lot of laughs. mr dundee was like a deer in the headlights kind of role. bad things kept happening to him despite the fact he kept trying to do the right thing. meanwhile the reporters kept coming down on him hard in one wild scene after another. watch it for the laughs and don't get to serious.
At the end of this film I was left with the feeling that there was no apparent story or plot to drive this film along. There was some funny bits and pieces from other actors. Sadly it was a drudge to watch, perhaps Paul needs to cheer up a bit and join in.
