Great movie with a message. Not only for children and young people, the film reminds us of some relevant rules for our lives and love. Great film, not only for Easter.
Best for the littlest moviegoers (4-7), this German-Austrian toon is amiable but basic, offering not much for adults who'll be sneaking regular scrolls on their phones. The animation is pretty, but dated; the characters cute, but vanilla, dubbed by a squad of Canadian-sounding voice actors who don't exactly set the genre alight. Centered around lessons of trust and teamwork, it's weirdly plotted: half these fuzzy critters use magic to save the day, while the street-styled bunny baddies use drones (!) and smartphones. But my 4 year old boy was rapt throughout, so for parents looking for that Easter holiday distraction: load up your baskets.
It's the sequel to Rabbit School, and also a vast improvement over the original film. The likability of its characters and its action-packed, comedy-filled plot means that anyone can be attracted to Easter eggs. It's a family movie that the little ones will no doubt enjoy, but it captures all the magic of when we were kids, looking for Easter eggs hidden in the backyard. Highly recommended!
Saw this movie with my 8- and 11-year old kids and they loved it. Though the story is suitable for younger kids (4+ I'd say), there are enough funny moments, allusions to the modern tech world and also an emotional story about friendship that appeal to an older audience (and even to the grown-ups). And it has a great message about overcoming prejudices that is very contemporary. Nice music, too. Would definitely recommend for the whole family.
