The concept of having remorse and thought of accepting and apologizing for your mistake, is very beautiful. At the same time, they have shown as if mexico is so perfect, if that's the case, than why are we having so many immigrants??? Not logical at all.
More bad: this movies' plot is predictable from the get go. Which makes it pretty boring to watch. The photography or soundtrack look and sound like a commercial; in other words CHEAP.
This movie was intended to be a real drama and for me personally when I see a drama I really (REALLY) need credible, good acting performances. No actor's chemistry to be enjoyed though in this movie. What a bummer.
The story is slow, but it is quite effective at portraying guilt of the main character. If the reason of why he feels so guilty, and why he goes to such length to seek peace, it would have been even better.
I really liked this movie. Gives the feeling of real people involved in modern day conflict along the US Mexican border. It's an even treatment of victims on both sides of the border. However most of the time is spent on the Mexican side but this is good because we don't get this view in the US. I really liked the attention to detail of the small things. Some critics complain of cliches. Yes there are cliches. This does not bother me as real people do speak in cliches many times.
Ignore the one star and negative reviews. Should have been 90 minutes, instead of almost 2 hours. But overall it was good. Better at least it didn't leave you hanging at the end.
Worst movie I think I've ever seen; acting quality is that of an Instagram movie. Not realistic at all and the plot was terrible.
Hollywood has got to do better. The clothing is embarrassing in this movie. South Texas ranchers don't wear skinny jeans. What a joke. Do some research on the dress of the people you are portraying. You take a great story and ruin it with clothing and hats that look hideous. PS. It doesn't take to much research to find someone that could help you with how the hats are shaped and the actual clothing. Do better.
