Based on the rating here (currently 8.0) I expected a lot more. He's not terrible, but there are many much funnier comics out there. Pretty sophomoric humor, so no deep thinking needed here. The lukewarm response from the small live audience pretty much says it all.
AMAZING SPECIAL! Everyone I have told to watch this special loves it!! Probably the best joke writing I've seen this year.
Maybe you're not familiar with him but hopefully you are. Just watch it.
--- stand-up comedy assassination! Please stop the 'canned laughter' ! He's funny on his own terms. This 40+ minute show would have been truly funny if 'the editors' had completely abandoned the idea of adding a laff-trak. Otherwise this show is a good time!
This guy is a joke machine. He's funny, has a unique style (love the way he holds the mic) and doesn't let up the entire special. Even the greats often have a lull here and there, but that's not the case with I Got This. First rate stand-up all the way. Of course comedy is subjective, so you may hate it. but there is no doubt Sam is a craftsman.
