تدور أحداث المسلسل حول سكان (أركاديا)، حيث يعود أقاربهم وأحبابهم من الموت مرة أخرى، ويعود معهم الطفل (جاكوب لانجيستون) من الصين، وكان (جاكوب) قد غرق منذ سنوات عديدة، يعود جاكوب مع مسئول الهجرة (جي مارتن) إلى والديه بعد سنوات طويلة.
