يتمكن النقيب (جون كارتر) من الفرار من السجن بمدينة فرجينيا، ويختبىء في أحد الكهوف، ويستحوذ على قلادة خارقة تنقله إلى كوكب أخر وهناك يأسره مجموعة من الكائنات الحية خضراء اللون ويبلغ أطوالها عدة أقدام، ولكن قوته التي استمدها من تلك القلادة تمكنه من التغلب على تلك الكائنات التي تطلب منه مساعدتها في التغلب على عدوها.
