This is when Ryback took out Chris Jericho for a year. In June 2013, Ryback demanded a match with John Cena. Jericho interrupted, saying he deserves to be in the Money in the Bank match. Ryback said he interrupted him, saying he can eat him alive. Jericho asked him if he’s a cannibal, he would like to see him try, calling him Mr. Back. Then Vickie put them in a match at Money in the Bank. On Smackdown, Ryback beat Justin Gabriel and injured his leg in the process. Jericho appeared, mockingly asked Ryback if he’s ok. He said he saw how much of a killer he is and he also knows he’s a whiner and a complainer, saying he should change his name to Cryback, adding he’ll give him something to Cryback about. Jericho went after his injured leg, went for the Walls of Jericho and Ryback escaped. Ryback faced The Miz on Raw with Jericho on commentary. Miz was working Ryback’s leg, he dropkicked it, Ryback forfeited and Miz won. Ryback was talking to Miz, Jericho appeared and hit him with the Codebreaker. Then they faced each other. Ryback dodged the Lionsault and rolled up Jericho to win the match. On Smackdown, Jericho faced Curtis Axel for the Intercontinental Title. Paul Heyman distracted Jericho, Axel kicked him in the head and hit him with the Axehole to retain the title. Ryback appeared, caught Jericho with a clothesline, hit him with the Shell Shocked and kicked him in the stomach, taking him out for a year.
