This is the night The Brothers of Destruction reunited. In September 2006, Mr. Kennedy said he beat the best of Smackdown and Teddy Long gave him The Undertaker. Three weeks later, Kennedy did a tribute to him, saying he doesn’t want to beat him because he doesn’t want to embarrass him and be hated for it. Taker interrupted, saying he will show him no mercy. Kennedy wanted to hit him with the mic and it exploded in his hand. They met at No Mercy, where Taker hit Kennedy with the title, ending in a DQ. Then Taker hit him with the Tombstone and the ref followed. On Smackdown, Kennedy defended the US Title against Chris Benoit. Kennedy got distracted by Taker and Benoit tapped him out to win the title. MVP demanded better competition and Teddy gave him Kane. MVP went for his eyes and abandoned the match. They had a rematch next week, where MVP hit Kane with a low blow, ending in a DQ. Taker beat Gregory Helms, Kennedy instantly attacked him and Taker hit him with a chokeslam. MVP and Kane were scheduled in a no DQ match next week. MVP told Teddy he’s sick and can’t compete. Kennedy appeared and Teddy replaced MVP with him. Kane went for a chokeslam, MVP hit him with a chair and Kennedy won. A week later, Kennedy and MVP faced Taker and Kane. MVP and Kennedy abandoned the match and they got counted out. Teddy restarted the match and made it a no count out one. Kennedy hit Kane with a low blow, ending in a DQ. Then Teddy made it a no DQ one. Taker hit Kennedy with the Tombstone to win the match. A week later, Teddy put MVP in a street fight against Kane. Kennedy called out Taker, he appeared and Kennedy started hitting him with the mic until he started bleeding. Then a first blood match was announced for Survivor Series. MVP and Kane met next week. Kennedy appeared, Kane caught him, MVP hit him with a low blow, they hit him with the steel steps and MVP won.
