Santana referees this match. The ladies are all business, starting off with an exploratory series of Headlocks, Armbars and skillful reversals as they probe the chinks in each other’s armor. It’s a great sequence of chain wrestling as each lady showcases her flexibility, suffering through neckbreaking submissions, Camel Clutches, Waistscissors and leglocks. Limbs are targeted, necks are stretched, rollups are executed but the ladies are evenly matched and neither can gain a decisive advantage for long. Rain exhibits her usual nasty streak, raking Shanna’s face along the ropes and dishing out a bout of punishment in the corner. Shanna, however, gives as good as she gets, busting out a combination chokehold/Waistscissors followed by a Full Nelson. It’s a brutal elevated Bearhug that finally wins one lady her well-deserved victory.
