Nestled in the hills of coal mining country lies Grundy, Virginia. More importantly the world renowned Grundy Wrestling Club. Grundy has a richer wrestling history than any one person that made millions in the coal mines. Bristol Jiu Jitsu got the opportunity to attend a wrestling practice and knowing us we jumped without hesitation into one of the most sought after rooms on the east coast. Coach Travis Fiser, a former Iowa Hawkeye All-American who was coached by Dan Gable is still pumping out Championship teams year after year, currenlty sitting at 28 State Titles. Accompanied by a great coaching staff, including his son, Gabe Fiser- 4x Virginia State Champion and All-American. Grundy is known for it's passion for wrestling and its ability to produce champions. They have a structure and belief system that seems to be unparalleled. It was our extreme pleasure to train with the Grundy Wrestling Club.
