Muay Thai in MMA gloves, the 4oz, changes the game. More Knockouts and heavy punches like Rodtang, are having more success. From defense to the clinch adaptations have to be made with the smaller gloves, as punches can still do damage from that range and it can be harder to trap someone as their hands can slip away more easily. It is also to be noted that a lot of western fighters (Liam Harrison and Jon Haggerty having great success as well as Jamal Yusupov who KO's Yodsanklai) prefer to throw hands so more fighters will excel through this rule set, but, conversely the thais are so experienced, phased by so little, they use this as an extra tactic of intimidation putting even more spite in their shots. There have been some unbelievable fights so far and with ONE signing a lot of the hot talent in Muay Thai it seems like it will only get bigger.
