Knee surgery, recovery, boxing and finding motivation through hardship. 🥊🦵 In this video, I take you along for a walk while giving an honest update on my knee injury and recovery after knee surgery. I reflect on whether an injury or surgery can be considered a hardship, and how difficult periods in life can challenge your mindset, patience and faith. Along the way, I find some words of motivation and comfort in Islam, reminding myself that hardship can have meaning and that patience, consistency and trust in Allah are important when going through difficult times. I then sit down and create a goal list for my recovery and training — with the number one goal being something I desperately want to get back to: boxing sparring. 🥊 The video finishes with a training session because recovery isn't just about waiting to get better. It's about doing what you can, staying consistent and building yourself back up one session at a time.
