Because This stupid Bongo cat is currently rivaling apex legends for popularity maybe because it's just cute but mostly because it's offering the dream of infinite free money on steam. Movement is made on the marketplace because 10 items of the same rarity have to be burned to create an item of a higher rarity. Most trash runs for about 3 cents. So 1c after steam has had it's way with you. There are holiday exclusive drops and mythic items that are valued into the tens of dollars.
