In a stunning turn of events, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou sent shockwaves through the boxing world last October when he knocked down Tyson Fury. Now, gearing up for just his second boxing bout, Ngannou is set to face the seasoned Olympic gold medallist and two-time unified heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, on March 8. PFL CEO Peter Murray, who signed Ngannou last May, warns against underestimating the MMA powerhouse once again. Despite Ngannou's limited experience in pro boxing, Murray believes the 37-year-old athlete is in phenomenal shape and is only getting better. The upcoming match against Joshua is anticipated to be a thrilling event, with Murray expressing confidence in Ngannou's ability to secure victory. "Francis is only going to get better in his second showing. So I think it's on. It'll be a really fun event to watch," Murray stated. Emphasizing Ngannou's status as the number one heavyweight MMA champion globally, Murray is proud to see him take on top-tier opponents in the boxing ring. While Ngannou is venturing into the world of professional boxing, Murray has plans for his return to MMA. Anticipating a comeback in the latter part of the year, Murray mentions potential high-profile opponents in Renan Ferreira and Ryan Bader eager to challenge Ngannou. The PFL CEO also teases the possibility of other crossover fighters making their way into MMA. Don't miss this epic clash between Ngannou and Joshua on March 8th – a match that promises excitement, unpredictability, and a testament to Ngannou's extraordinary journey across combat sports!" #AnthonyJoshua #francisngannou #joshuangannou
