SummerSlam 1996 brings us back to the WWF before the attitude era, we're in the very late stages of the New Generation, but our WWF champion shows a whole lot of attitude during the main event. The main event featured Shawn Michaels defending the WWF Championship against Vader, the monstrous challenger managed by Jim Cornette. Vader had spent months destroying opponents on his path to a title shot, while Michaels was trying to prove he could carry the company as the top champion. Their clash at SummerSlam was meant to test the Heartbreak Kid against one of the most physically dominant wrestlers in the world, but controversy would surround the WWF title match when things didn't go exactly how Shawn wanted them to go. Elsewhere on the card we've got the famous Undertaker vs Mankind Boiler Room Brawl, Owen Hart opening the show up with a match against Savio Vega, and the real showcase happens when The British Bulldog battles Sycho Sid. 00:00 - Intro 00:51 - Owen Hart vs Savio Vega 04:39 - Four Way Elimination Tag Match 08:01 - British Bulldog vs Sid 10:36 - Goldust vs "Wildman" Marc Mero 14:21 - Faarooq Asaad Promo 15:57 - Jake Roberts vs Jerry Lawler 19:37 - Undertaker vs Mankind (Boiler Room Brawl) 24:42 - Shawn Michaels vs Vader 33:57 - Final Thoughts
