On Sept 15, 1995 The LSU Medical Center suspended Homer Gibbins' boxing licences and he was told he would never fight again. Soon after his career ended so did his marriage. Homer said "I needed some place to go and pound out my anger, so I sought the solace of a boxing ring. When I was there I decided that NO ONE was going to tell me that I can't box again. I learned to respond when the doctors tested my reflexes and lied my way through physicals to be able to fight once again." May 28, 1998 Homer stepped back in ring against a guy who was very active and looking to stop the return of the Nature Boy. Micheal "The Boss" Moss was a tough guy from Alabama and was the perfect opponent to see if Homer was going to have what it takes to make a comeback. After Homer struggled to find his place in the world he never could get fighting out of his mind. When his career ended so did his marriage so he said he sought a place where he could place his anger. He laced back up the gloves and lied to doctors to be able to fight again. Homer entered the ring with a goal of regaining what was lost. The Come-back was more of going against the odds than trying to regain his place on top of the world of boxing. Micheal "The Boss" Moss had stayed active and was looking to cancel Homer's plans to make a successful comeback.
