Twelve year old Durga and her family depend on the 'Bahurupi' - a dying folk art - to survive in rural India. When an opportunity to escape her bonded, small town life comes knocking, Durga prepares to leave . Shot on location in rural Bengal with a family of Bahurupi artists playing themselves, Chameleon, is a coming of age portrait of rural India where dreams and reality are often in conflict with each other.
