This match starts with a guard pull to ashi entry with one guy getting his leg almost twisted off with a heel hook. But there was a medal on the line and he endured and got to see a part of his foot that few ever do, win/win. He escapes to the applause and relief of the crowd. There is some good guard work from top and bottom , props to both guys. There are a few uncommon positions used in this exchange rubber guard, arm behind the back pass , etc. The heel hook assassin, as we will call him, gets standing top position from a scramble. He hits a great sliding knee cut pass only to fake it and reverse directions for the ashi entry (sick move), dude still had another leg but that would soon be reminded. The Heel Hook assassin locks up the heel hook on the other side this time. His opponents leg audibly pops to the gasp of the crowd and the ref stepping in . The guy, now down one leg, remembers there is still a medal on the line and informs the ref he did not tap and puts his leg back in the heel hook! He then rolls and the assassin switches to the toe hold and his opponent wisely taps probably too late judging from the limp he has after the match. HOLY CHEESE BALLZ!
