Set in 1950s Madrid, as Carlos falls down the stairs, he drags himself to the nearest house, where Montse, an agoraphobic seamstress, lives with her much younger sister Nia, who happens to be her last link to reality. Montse takes her debilitated neighbor in, but will he ever get out?
