In August of this year the WBO ordered a 30-day negotiation period  in which Terence Crawford and Sebastian Fundora had to reach an agreement to fight. Sebastian Fundora is the full champion while Terence Crawford is the Interim champion, they fail to reach an agreement and the WBO gave them a 10-day extension to continue discussions towards reaching an agreement. The latest is that Crawford has agreed to step aside and allow Fundora to face former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Junior in a voluntary defense.
