WCW Nitro kicks off with a big announcement; Bret Hart is in the arena. The Hitman makes his WCW debut tonight on TNT and we learn what Bret's role is at the upcoming Starrcade 97 PPV. Ric Flair is back in Flair Country tonight and Arn Anderson also attends the show, though Flair's night doesn't turn out all that great thanks to the nWo. On WWF Raw we learn that Shawn Michaels will defend his WWF Championship against The Undertaker at Royal Rumble 98. Undertaker, however, has Kane and Paul Bearer on his mind. D-Generation X wrestle the Legion of Doom in the main event however HBK wants to get his hands on Owen Hart, so DX play cards until Owen shows up.
