LFL 9, dubbed as "the Big One", marked a historic significance in LFL's history. It was the first time in Amsterdam's history that a combat event was held at the historic venue of the Gashouder. It was also the first time a champ champ emerged in the organisation, as middleweight champion Tom Breese stepped up and captured the light heavyweight title in a thrilling main event.
