In this video, we share a peaceful and culture-packed day visiting some of Nara’s most iconic spots. We start the day with the legendary freshly-pounded mochi at Nakatanidou—watch the mesmerizing mochi-making in action and see if it lives up to the hype. Then, we wander through the serene paths of Nara Deer Park, where we feed the friendly (and sometimes feisty!) deer. To end the day, we take part in a free Japanese calligraphy class, learning the basics of this ancient art form and creating our own keepsakes.
