Erica D'Erico vs Portia Perez

Referee Lorelei Lee has her hands full even before the bell starts as Erica and Portia have a serious disagreement over height. Erica calls Portia a ‘Leprechaun’ and mocks the shorter Canadian with a tall fingerlock stance. The vertically challenged Portia hauls a chair in the ring and climbs up to engage the ‘lamppost’ Erica. Lorelei finally restores order and the match gets underway, but the action is about as mean-spirited as you’ll see with plenty of hairpulling, choking and cheating by both women. Erica admires her own long legs as she crushes Portia in the corner with a blatant boot choke that goes well beyond the 5 count. Portia does her best to chop the taller Erica down to her level by expertly working her legs with repeated kicks to the hamstring, elbows to the knee and leg stretches in the ring ropes. After their nasty trade of insults there’s too much pride at stake for either wrestler to back down and the end only comes after a fierce battle and a face-erasing running boot that puts one poor battler down and out for the 3 count.
