Cherry Layne vs Vanessa Kraven

This match begins with the referee ratting poor Cherry out to the towering Vanessa, reporting on her earlier boasts about taking the bigger athlete down. This may be why Vanessa shows off right from the beginning, not allowing Cherry Layne to gain an inch in a lock-up and tossing her down like a sack of potatoes. The next tie-up doesn’t go any better for Cherry as she’s forced into a corner and beaten down. If you’re noticing a theme there, it’s one that keeps getting repeated. Cherry attempts some resistance and just as it looks like she may have found a chink in Vanessa’s armor, the latter’s overwhelming strength brings her down. Cherry finds herself choked on the ropes, punched and kicked, Suplexed, stretched and bent in Boston Crabs, Surfboards and more and generally punished. But don’t rule Cherry out – a rush into the corner goes badly for Vanessa, allowing the smaller lady to attempt some vicious kidney punishment. Eventually one lady is laid out in a spinning Backbreaker but not before putting up a valiant fight.
