Athena vs Ivelisse

The two combatants get straight to the action and it’s an aggressive Athena that initially takes control of the bout. A succession of forearms send Ivelisse into the turnbuckle, where Athena further weakens her opponent with a series of knees and shoulder charges to the belly. With no match official on hand, Athena is not against the occasional shortcut and is certainly in a more vicious mood than we normally see her. Ivelisse is no compliant victim though, and when the opportunity arises, she battles back with equal intensity. A duo of neckbreakers leave Athena stunned and Ivelisse comes close to victory with a 2 count. But now it’s Athena’s turn to fight back and she regains control with a swift kick to the gut followed by a brace of Suplexes. Athena continues to dominate the match, scoring near-fall after near-fall, much to her frustration. With Ivelisse growing weaker, Athena sees the opportunity to finally end the match and a high-flying O-Face puts Ivelisse down one more time. Will it be enough to score Athena the 1-2-3. Or can Ivelisse continue to hunt for an unlikely win?
