Few would argue that Athena is as bad as they come. Even she might have to admit that taking on the lethal threesome of Cherry, Leah, and Marti is a big mistake though. Leah is the first one in and right away she goes after Athena's arm. Her limbs are constantly at risk of being incapacitated throughout the match, as if she wasn't already at a disadvantage. It isn't long before Athena is cornered and the numbers game rears its ugly head. Leah grinds away at Athena with a Lotus Lock, a straightjacked hold, and a Dutch Clutch. Somehow, Athena survives. She is able to reverse a Headscissors attempt into one of her own, giving her the slightest opening. she takes full advantage, knocking Leah out of the match with an intricate, body-twisting submission that has the blonde tapping! It's out of the frying pan and into the fire though, with the dangerous Marti jumping in to avenge her partner. Marti is a beast, pounding Athena into the mat with stomps and double axe handles. She gets creative with her armwork, including suspending herself outside the ring ropes in an attempt to stretch Athena past her limits. An exchange of armbars puts Marti on the brink of victory, but Athena escapes and scores a second fall after knocking Marti out with a slick combination of kicks! Last but not least, we have Cherry who methodically picks Athena apart. She slaps on a Hammerlock, pounds Athena with mounted punches, and straddles her while bending her arm behind her head at an angle it shouldn't be bent at. A rare Cherry miscue leads to Athena almost locking on the same hold she used to finish off Leah, but Cherry escapes. Athena has been punished for almost 30 minutes and she refuses to stay down! She sets up for one big kick that could turn around the whole match. Will she triumph over the trio or does Cherry prove to be one opponent too many?
