This is when Cody Rhodes underestimated Christian. At Over the Limit 2012, Christian won a battle royal and challenged Cody for the Intercontinental Title. Christian hit Cody with the Killswitch to win the title. On Smackdown, Christian beat Hunico in a non-title match. Cody appeared, saying he restored the glory of the title after it was held by jokes like Santino Marella.
