This match between powerhouses Jessicka and Kennadi practically comes with a variety show attached to it. It’s preceded by comedic deconstructions of each athlete’s name by the other – Kennadi apparently reminds Jessicka of really terrible detective shows – and even a random burst of tap dancing by both Brink and the referee. Once the fighting begins, however, it takes on a brutal edge. The match begins with some outright brawling tactics as Havok grabs Kennadi’s multi-hued locks and bounces her head off a couple turnbuckles only to have Kennadi punch her full in the face and kick her in the throat. The down-and-dirty style continues throughout the match as the ladies break out the chokes (on the ropes, with boots, with hands, any way they can think of), occasional bouts of hairpulling, elbows to the stomach, kicks to the face and other less-than-sportsmanlike tactics in between neckbreaking submissions and raining down face punches. Punishment to the throat becomes a bit of a recurring motif for Jessicka who strangles and otherwise damages that particular tender spot on Kennadi with grim focus. At one point she even threatens to tear Kennadi’s throat out and does her best to follow through on that threat with further neck-related attacks and a wrenching Camel Clutch. A final high impact move puts one lady down and out.
