We will add finishing touches to our design work. We will reflect on what has worked well and how we could improve it. We will consider further developments to our work and share our work with others.
In this lesson, we will draw on previous learning and develop our own design ideas using an object we know well as a starting point. We will apply our learning about typography and composition.
In this lesson, we will learn about a contemporary graphic artist, and research and develop ideas. We will work in our sketchbooks developing our ideas.
In this lesson, we will learn about Bauhaus and design and make in this style. We will record and make notes in our sketchbooks.
In this lesson, we will learn what we mean by graphic design. We will investigate examples and record our findings in our sketchbooks.
Choosing one design from the previous lesson, students will develop the work using paint (or colouring pencils) using a colour scheme and using negative space. With a fine-line to finish, students will be able to finish the unit with an art piece to frame at home.
Building on our understanding of New Media and Abstract art forms, students will learn what an algorithm is and create algorithm art experiments in preparation for the next lesson...
Using our research into sound art, and our own shapes, patterns and designs from last lesson, we will combine them this time to develop a large watercolour painting.
In this lesson, our attention turns to Sound Art, and the use of sound to inspire art in abstract forms and shapes.
In this lesson, students will gain an understanding of what New Media is and how it is used in contemporary Art. They will then create a pixelated art piece using paint, as demonstrated, but this can also be created using a digital process or colouring pencils.
