The Secret

The wishful premises is irrational, and scientifically unproven, but if one is in a desperate circumstances, one might find this book hopeful. The author's voice is calming, but the book is prevented from being a effective hypnotherapy tool by interspersed testimony from witnesses. The book would have been a lot better without them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I come from a very different background, I am a Muslim and I am fascinated by the book. I believe this magnificent work is a convergence of what has been revealed so far from what is known. Everybody who was exposed to self improvement was familiar with the bits and pieces that were shared here and there, things like how faith or positive thinking can make a difference. But here we are, with the Secret revealed in its grandeur. Thank you.

A rather pathetic attempt at self improvement by implying that you can think yourself to success. I am glad I got the book for free rather than having to pay for it and be ticked off. At any rate it is another shameless attempt at delivering a feel good message without any real content.

This is a powerful book, yes, most of us have heard 'the secrets' before in one form or another, however, it bears repeating.We bring; and see what we think about.We have the power to see our world differently; and this book reminds us of that.I think it is worthwhile to have and pull out as often as needed to keep your thoughts in check.

The law of attraction. This is ridiculous.Some Australian woman turned her life around by repackaging lots of new age/self help talk and getting Oprah's backing."The Secret" keeps implying that it has something and yet, it's only if you wish it you will get it if you you have a positivie attitude.I was curious to see how and what was this great spiritual discovery.The most hillarious part is her pronounciation of Gothe!!! Yikes.Her voice is grating and painfull.I wonder how much money Oprah is making from this scheme.Stop, don't buy it.Buy something with substance.I gave it one star cause the darn system will not let me do none.

Think about something and you "attract" it. Yeah, you don't get something without thinking about it first, agreed. But, step two is not "Magic Happens". This book would have you think so. Nice book if you need a mental rabbit's foot. Don't take it seriously.

I got this book because a close friend recommended it but I think she may have had her brain washed.It was nothing more than wishful thinking meets Buddhism.I say that as a Buddhist.I did not expect magic from the book but thought that with all the hype it would be more than an suburban housewives listen.

I have to admit I bought this audio book out of curiosity successfully induced by the great marketing and publicity along with itstitle and the "mysterious" seal picture. This fact alone, deserves to be complimented to the team of all the people who worked on this project, not forgetting to thank the author who "created" this book. Never the less it is a good insightful book giving "something different" to consider and think about. Yes, I personally recommend this book.
