Oscar De La Hoya vs Felix Trinidad remains one of the most controversial fights in boxing history. 😳🥊 On September 18, 1999, two undefeated superstars collided in a massive welterweight unification fight. De La Hoya appeared to control much of the action early, but his decision to box cautiously and stay away during the championship rounds ultimately proved costly. After 12 rounds, Trinidad was awarded a majority decision — a result that immediately sparked debate and remains heavily discussed by boxing fans decades later.
