Two of the all-time greats ever to grace our ring clash in this one and while at the time Sara would have to be the odds on favorite Malia has proven capable pf beating anyone, anywhere at any time for a very long time. This one gets down to submissions pretty quickly and while SDR is certainly no slouch in that department advantage Malia playing more into her strengths and away from Sara’s raw power. A nice deathlock combo into a Camel Clutch has one grappler off and running until her leg starts to get worked over with comes creative variants on holds ensuring running will be the last thing she thinks about doing. Another Figure Four transitions into a Crab and eventually a Bow & Arrow stretch before the Pendulum Swings yet again just as one wrestler can taste victory. Gaining a vertical base proves pivotal to the outcome of this one as power can be brought into play in submission holds until one excruciating stretch finally secures a hard-fought victory.
