Born in Cyprus and raised in England, Bisping came from humble beginnings before carving his place in mixed martial arts through the UK’s early regional circuits. A pioneer of British MMA, he built his name with Cage Rage and Cage Warriors appearances, becoming one of the first UK fighters to gain international recognition. His breakthrough came in 2006 when he won Season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter, defeating Josh Haynes in the finale with a blistering TKO that secured his UFC contract and announced him as a force in the light heavyweight division. Bisping’s early UFC career saw victories over Eric Schafer, Elvis Sinosic, and Matt Hamill, before moving to middleweight where his legacy would truly be written. He quickly established himself with wins over Jason Day and Chris Leben, but his momentum was halted by Dan Henderson at UFC 100 in one of the most iconic knockouts in UFC history.
