Introductions are made (and corrected!) and we're straight into the action. A back and forth exchange of armlocks and Headlocks opens this bout, as both women vie for control. Ivelisse is very ring savvy, but up against one of the pioneers of modern women's wrestling, she has to make every advantage count. And she does exactly that, working a tight Headscissor and taking the initiative (with a kick to the gut!) when Lacey suggests a test of strength. Lacey, however, only needs one opening. And when the opportunity comes, she takes it, locking on a Sleeperhold that instantly begins to wear Ivelisse down. Ivelisse desperately tries to fight her way out of the hold, but Lacey will not be budged. Indeed, after being declared the winner, Lacey is reluctant to release her KOed opponent, before finally having her arm raised in victory.
